Perfect Campaign Ad: In the Sweetest Southern Accent Possible, AL Gov Declares War on Election Fraud, Delights in Offending Leftists

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has emerged as one of my favorite Republican politicians over the past few years.

It’s not just her policy positions, which have liberals gnashing their teeth and rending their Birkenstocks. It’s that she delivers them in a manner that suggests she’s going to invite us all in for a fresh-baked batch of butter pecan cookies once she finishes owning the libs.

This time, the fury stems from a campaign ad in which Ivey said “the fake news, Big Tech and blue-state liberals” stole the 2020 election from former President Donald Trump. To the liberal media, them’s fightin’ words. However, they were fightin’ words delivered in the sweetest Southern accent you can imagine.

(Here at The Western Journal, it’s worth noting we’ve stayed on top of electoral interference from the media, Big Tech and others since the beginning of the 2020 presidential cycle. We’ll continue reporting on it, too — no matter how much Big Tech and social media want to silence us. You can help us bring America the truth by subscribing.)

In the ad, titled “Stole” and released on April 4, Ivey threw down the gauntlet at the Democrats over election integrity.

“The fake news, Big Tech and blue-state liberals stole the election from President Trump, but here in Alabama, we are making sure that never happens,” Ivey said in the ad.

“We have not, and will not, send absentee ballots to everyone and their brother. We banned corrupt curbside voting, and our results will always be audited,” she continued.

“I’m Kay Ivey. The left is probably offended — so be it. As long as I’m governor, we’re going to protect your vote.”

Ivey campaign manager William Califf said in a statement that Ivey “stood with Trump and fought to secure our elections. Here in Alabama, we didn’t have the issues they had in other states.”

“Gov. Ivey will continue to stand strong and make sure that our elections are secure so that what happened to President Trump in other states will never happen in any election in Alabama,” Califf said.

Let the conniptions ensue!

According to AL.com — the online portal of Alabama’s three most influential newspapers, the Birmingham News, the Mobile Press-Register and The Huntsville Times — the ad made Ivey “the latest high-profile candidate to support unfounded conspiracy theories that the election was illegitimate.”

Well, as Trump might have said, that’s fake news.

Ivey didn’t say the election was illegitimate, merely that it was stolen. That’s not a distinction without a difference: If the media, Big Tech and election officials on the national and local level all act in a way that makes it transparently obvious their thumbs are on the scale, giving one candidate an advantage, that doesn’t mean that the election is illegitimate, at least under the rules it was being run under.

It can mean it was rigged, however — just not through some shadowy, labyrinthine conspiracy theory.

More from AL.com’s Howard Koplowitz: “The ad did not elaborate on why Ivey believed the election was stolen from Trump.”

“There has been no evidence to suggest the 2020 election was stolen,” he wrote.

Do you agree with Kay Ivey?

Koplowitz apparently doesn’t remember October 2020, when reports about a laptop Hunter Biden left behind at a Delaware computer repair shop implicated him in influence-peddling with China, Ukraine, Russian politicians and Mexican oligarchs.

Furthermore, the contents of the laptop strongly suggested that, despite his protestations to contrary, Joe Biden was significantly more aware of his son’s business dealings than he’d let on. There was even a former business associate of Hunter Biden’s who linked Joe to one of the deals, telling reporters “the big guy” mentioned in one of Hunter’s emails who was to receive a 10 percent cut was none other than Joe Biden.

What happened after the New York Post started reporting on this? Twitter locked the Post out of its account, and social media sites wouldn’t let anyone share the story. Almost every major publication smeared it as Russian disinformation. It wasn’t even mentioned during the presidential debates until Trump brought it up.

Only now are major media outlets beginning to acknowledge what was evident in October 2020: The contents of the laptop are both real and damning.

So, no evidence of coordinated, attempted theft, Mr. Koplowitz? Not illegal, no — but when Big Tech acts to censor legitimate reporting that could have caused its preferred candidate to lose, that doesn’t exactly sound like the kind of conspiracy theory that sprouted from Lin Wood’s febrile mind. In fact, it sounds a lot like truth.

And this is just one instance of how the election of 2020 was a rigged shell game. Between ballot harvesting, allegations of curbside drop-box abuses, problems with mail-in balloting, shifting regulations and other issues, there are plenty of reasons to say Ivey is merely speaking common sense.

However, for Democrats, all of these things aren’t bugs in the system. Since they seem to help Democrats out, they’re perceived as features — and Democrats are anxious for them to be made permanent.

And by the way, this isn’t the only time Ivey has managed to enrage the left by engaging in common sense.

Last week, she signed the first state law criminalizing the use of puberty blockers, hormone therapies and transgender surgeries on minors.

“I believe very strongly that if the Good Lord made you a boy, you are a boy, and if he made you a girl, you are a girl. We should especially protect our children from these radical, life-altering drugs and surgeries when they are at such a vulnerable stage in life,” Ivey said in a statement.

“Instead, let us all focus on helping them to properly develop into the adults God intended them to be,” she said.

This got the attention of the liberal media and the White House.

“Alabama’s lawmakers and other legislators who are contemplating these … discriminatory bills have been put on notice by the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services that laws and policies preventing care that health care professionals recommend for transgender minors may violate the Constitution and federal law,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

Maybe Ivey can smooth things over with another batch of piping-hot butter pecan cookies. Couldn’t hurt.

IL Dems Pass Law That Private Businesses Have to Advertise for Them or Pay $500/Day in Fines

Lest residents not be sufficiently grateful for their actions, Illinois politicians are trying to force retailers to post signs informing the public of some “tax relief” actions that were taken as part of the state’s new budget.

Legislation demands, on pain of being fined, that gas stations post stickers on pumps proclaiming that a gas tax increase that would have taken effect July 1 has been scrapped, according to The Center Square.

The Illinois gas tax had been expected to increase about 2.2 cents per gallon. The state suspended the increase for six months in a year when all the seats in the Democrat-dominated legislature are up for grabs. Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker is also facing re-election.

Scot Bertram of Hillsdale College said the provision was included in a budget passed around 3 a.m. Saturday.

The stickers are required to say, “As of July 1, 2022, the State of Illinois has suspended the inflation adjustment to the motor fuel tax through December 31, 2022. The price on this pump should reflect the suspension of the tax increase.”

Anyone not posting the sticker could be fined $500 a day. That comes to $65,000 if a holdout refuses to post a sticker between now and Election Day in November, the report said.

Republican state Rep. Mark Batinick said the burdensome gas tax undercuts any gratitude that residents might feel.

“So is the sticker going to say, ‘Hey, gas is 50 cents more a gallon over here across the border or across the river, it would have been 52.2 cents more, but here’s a sticker to say it’s only 50 cents more’?” Batinick said, according to the Center Square.

Josh Sharp of the Illinois Fuel and Retail Association said the sticker demand is unconstitutional.

“This industry won’t be forced into offering free election-year advertising for the Governor,” Sharp said in a statement.

“Ordering businesses to take part in speech that is compelled by the government under the threat of fines and criminal penalties is unwise and unconstitutional,” he said.

Sharp said he expected retailers would sue rather than submit to the state.

In 2019, Illinois’ gas tax was doubled, with the provision of an inflationary increase after that. It was that increase that the legislators put on hold.

Grocery stores also have to proclaim the wonders of state government under the legislation, the Center Square reported.

Stores would be required to print on receipts “to the extent feasible” that the state suspended the 1 percent grocery tax for a year.

The required message reads, “From July 1, 2022, through July 1, 2023, the State of Illinois sales tax on groceries is 0%.”

Bigger notice is welcome as an alternative, according to the report.

The legislation said that “if it is not feasible for the retailer to include the statement on any cash register tape, receipt, invoice, or sales ticket issued to customers, then the retailer shall post the statement on a sign that is clearly visible to customers.

“The sign shall be no smaller than 4 inches by 8 inches.”

Hulu Refuses to Satisfy the Woke Crowd in What Dems Call 'Outrageous, Offensive' Move

The television streaming service Hulu has declined to run Democrats’ campaign ads about abortion, guns and the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol incursion, infuriating candidates who intend to run on these issues, according to The Washington Post.

Hulu, which is owned by Disney, rejected joint ads about guns and abortion from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Governors Association, the Post reported on Monday.

Leaders of these committees scheduled a call with Hulu to discuss the company’s concerns, but Hulu canceled the call and stalled in later communications about the ads, according to the report.

The ads Hulu rejected were run by Disney and by a local Disney-affiliated ABC affiliate, the Post reported.

Hulu has a policy of not running controversial content in ads and, unlike broadcast television networks, is not bound by federal law to give equal opportunities to political parties in its advertisements, according to the Post.

Democratic Party leaders and candidates criticized Hulu’s ad policy as a threat to democracy and claimed Hulu is blocking them from mobilizing young voters over the issues they care most about.

“To not discuss these topics in my campaign ad is to not address the most important issues facing the United States,” Suraj Patel, a Democratic congressional candidate in New York City, wrote in a letter to the CEOs of Disney and Hulu.

“Your ban on mobilization messaging has a perverse effect on Democracy,” Patel claimed.

Hulu rejected one of Patel’s ads that mentioned abortion, gun violence, climate change and Jan. 6 because the topics were too sensitive, according to his letter.

“Hulu’s censorship of the truth is outrageous, offensive, and another step down a dangerous path for our country,” the executive directors of the DSCC, DCCC and DGA told the Post.

Dick Cheney Slings Personal Insults at Donald Trump in Last-Minute Attack Ad for Daughter Liz

Former Vice President Dick Cheney unleashed a series of dramatic attacks against former President Donald Trump in a Thursday campaign ad for his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney.

Cheney accused Trump of being a “coward,” citing the former President’s litigation against the outcome of the 2020 election.

Cheney called Trump the greatest individual threat to the United States in the nation’s 246-year history, assigning him a distinction usually reserved for the likes of Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden and Emperor Hirohito.

“He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters,” said the 81-year-old Dick Cheney.

“He lost his election, and he lost big.”

Dick Cheney had supported Trump for president in 2016. He went on to criticize Trump’s foreign policy, according to Politico.

Liz Cheney didn’t turn decisively against Trump until after the 2020 election.

Dick Cheney played a key role in instigating the 2003 Iraq War, a conflict today considered one of the worst foreign policy blunders in American history.

As George W. Bush’s Vice President, Cheney falsely claimed that Saddam Hussein’s government actively possessed weapons of mass destruction, according to Newsweek. That claim formed the basis of the 2003 invasion.

The conflict resulted in the deaths of thousands of American service members and many more Iraqis.

Instability in the Middle East after the American withdrawal from Iraq led to the rise of the Islamic State, a jihadist terrorist group that played a role in the exodus of Christians and other minorities from the region.

Cheney has never apologized for his role in the Iraq War.

Dick Cheney claimed that his daughter would prevail in her Aug. 16. primary.

“Liz is fearless. She never backs down from the fight. There is nothing more important she will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never again near the Oval Office.”

“And she will succeed.”

Polling shows the younger Cheney trailing her Trump-endorsed primary challenger by massive margins.

Trump Ad Responding to Mar-A-Lago Raid Is the Best Political Ad You've Seen in Years

Biden and his deep state cronies may have just handed Donald Trump the presidency.

Thanks to the FBI’s Mar-A-Lago raid, Americans now have the best motivation to vote for Trump in 2024 — righteous indignation.

FBI agents raided Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday to search for any classified documents that Trump took with him after he left the White House.

Apparently, instead of just asking Trump for the documents, the Biden administration thought it best to treat the former president like a no-good criminal.

In response to the raid, conservatives, Republicans and others have voiced their outrage, and Trump didn’t let the moment go to waste.

The former president capitalized on the raid by releasing an advertisement video on his Truth Social account a mere few hours later — and it’s good.

In fact, it’s likely the best political ad you’ve seen in years.

Titled “A Nation in Decline,” the ad shows Trump giving a speech as inspirational music plays in the background.

After running through the many incredible failures of the Biden administration, Trump offers a glimmer of hope to those watching.

Would you support Trump if he were to run in 2024?

“Soon we will have greatness again. It was hard-working patriots like you who built this country, and it is hard-working patriots like you who are going to save our country. There is no mountain we cannot climb. There is no summit we cannot reach. There is no challenge we cannot meet. There is no victory we cannot have,” Trump said in the ad.

“We will not bend. We will not break. We will not yield ever, ever, ever. We will never give in, we will never give up and we will never ever back down.”

“As long as we are confident and united, the tyrants we are fighting do not stand even a little chance. Because we are Americans and Americans kneel to God and God alone, and it is time to start talking about greatness for our country again.”

While the ad doesn’t officially indicate Trump is running in 2024, it hints at as much towards the end by highlighting the following quote: “… the best is yet to come.”

For a minute there, it looked like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had become a more likely candidate to win the Republican nomination in 2024.

Thanks to Biden, the winds may have just shifted back in Trump’s favor.

DeSantis Goes Hollywood, Releases 'Top Gun'-Inspired Ad Aimed Straight at the Mainstream Media

In a new campaign ad, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis takes on the corporate media “Top Gun”-style and urges people not to “accept their narrative.”

The one-minute video, titled “Top Gov,” features DeSantis sporting a leather jacket and aviator shades and even sitting in a jet’s cockpit.

The video, posted to YouTube on Monday, opens with the Republican governor — a decorated Navy veteran — speaking at “Freedom Headquarters” in Florida.

“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your governor speaking,” he said.

“Today’s training evolution — dogfighting, taking on the corporate media,” DeSantis continued. “The rules of engagement are as follows:

“No. 1: Don’t fire unless fired upon, but when they fire, you fire back with overwhelming force.

“No. 2: Never ever back down from a fight.

“No. 3: Don’t accept their narrative.”

Interspersed are videos of the governor shooting down liberal reporters during news conferences.

The ad is timely considering the popularity of “Top Gun: Maverick,” the sequel to the 1986 hit film “Top Gun.”

Some consider DeSantis to be a political “maverick” himself, as the Washington Examiner noted.

The ad was released the day before Florida Democrats decided who will challenge the governor in the November elections.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried, Florida’s commissioner of agriculture, were the leading candidates in the Democratic primary Tuesday.

Meanwhile, DeSantis will represent the GOP after he ran unopposed.

The governor gained the strong support of Republican voters as he boldly pushed back against not just the establishment media and the Biden administration but also Disney, which fought the state’s Parental Rights in Education bill. That has made him a top contender for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.

Would you vote for Ron DeSantis for president in 2024?

While many view him as unassailable, Fernand Amandi, a Democratic pollster in Miami who helped Barack Obama win Florida in the 2008 and 2012 presidential races, told The Hill the political landscape has shifted.

Amandi claimed the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has changed voters’ attitudes and DeSantis “now looks vulnerable.”

However, polling shows the governor easily defeating Crist or Fried in November, Florida Politics reported last week.

With the November elections fast approaching, we’ll soon find out whether Florida voters think he is the “Top Gov.”

Did You Know Fetterman Held Up a Black Jogger with a Shotgun? New Ad Exposes Dark Mayoral Past

$

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, a Democratic U.S. Senate candidate in the state and vocal proponent of gun control, is being slammed over revelations he pulled a shotgun on an unarmed black man whom he wrongly suspected of a crime.

The damning discovery went viral after Fetterman’s Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz, launched an ad on Tuesday spotlighting the chilling 2013 incident.

The video features a report from WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh in which jogger Chris Miyares recounted how Fetterman — who was then mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania — held him at gunpoint until police arrived after falsely assuming he had committed a crime.

Fetterman told the outlet at the time he had chased Miyares in his pickup truck and — while brandishing a 20-gauge shotgun — ordered him to stop after allegedly hearing gunfire from a nearby street.

He was cavalier when questioned about the incident and did not apologize for his dangerous conduct.

“I believe I did the right thing,” Fetterman said at the time. “But I may have broken the law in the course of it.”

Police searched Miyares for weapons and let him go after concluding he had committed no crime.

However, the young man said he was horrified at having been chased in a pickup truck by Fetterman and then having a firearm pointed at him.

“I pulled my sunglasses off and pulled my earphones out of my ear, and I looked up, and it was the mayor of Braddock,” Miyares recounted to WTAE.

“He jumped in his Ford F-150 and followed me into North Braddock and pulled a shotgun and aimed it at my chest.”

The Oz campaign ad concludes by describing Fetterman as “risky, reckless, wrong for Pennsylvania.”

Imagine the outrage from Democrats and their media minions if a Republican had chased down an unarmed black man in a truck and then pointed a gun at him even though the victim had committed no crime.

There undoubtedly would be screeching front-page newspaper stories and breathless cable news reports condemning the entire GOP as a party of “white supremacists” who assume all black men are criminals.

What’s farcically ironic is that Fetterman is an opponent of your Second Amendment right to self-defense, even though he kept a shotgun in his truck and used it on an unarmed person when he wasn’t defending himself or his property.

Fetterman was merely being a street vigilante — something Democrats and the corporate media claimed was “white supremacist” behavior when Kyle Rittenhouse shot back at violent leftist protesters who assaulted him.

The Democratic candidate has made gun control a campaign issue, arguing on his website for “common sense gun safety measures.”

“We need universal background checks, red flag laws, and more proactive efforts to get illegal guns off our streets,” Fetterman said.

He has made similar arguments on Twitter.

In addition to the rank hypocrisy underscored by this incident, Fetterman is an unfit candidate for U.S. Senate for numerous other reasons.

Even if you’re not a fan of Dr. Oz, it’s glaringly obvious he is a far better choice than this liberal buffoon. Pennsylvanians, are you paying attention?

Elon Musk's Twitter Announces Major Change to Political Advertising Policy

$
0
0

Twitter says it will ease up on its 3-year-old ban on political advertising, the latest change by Elon Musk as he tries to pump up revenue after purchasing the social media platform last year.

“We believe that cause-based advertising can facilitate public conversation around important topics,” the company tweeted late Tuesday from its Twitter Safety account.

“Today, we’re relaxing our ads policy for cause-based ads in the US,” it said. “We also plan to expand the political advertising we permit in the coming weeks.

“Moving forward, we will align our advertising policy with that of TV and other media outlets. As with all policy changes, we will first ensure that our approach to reviewing and approving content protects people on Twitter.”

Twitter banned all political advertising in 2019, reacting to claims about “misinformation” spreading on social media.

At the time, then-CEO Jack Dorsey said that while internet ads are powerful and effective for commercial advertisers, “that power brings significant risks to politics, where it can be used to influence votes to affect the lives of millions.”

The latest move appears to represent a break from that policy, which had banned ads by candidates, political parties or elected or appointed government officials.

Political advertising made up a sliver of Twitter’s overall revenue, accounting for less than $3 million of total spending for the 2018 U.S. midterm elections.

Facebook in March 2021 lifted its ban on political and social issue ads that had been put in place after the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Musk bills himself as a free-speech warrior and bought Twitter because he believed it wasn’t living up to its potential as a platform for open expression.

The billionaire Tesla CEO has sought to cut costs and boost revenue for the social media company to fortify his $44 billion purchase.

The Western Journal has reviewed this Associated Press story and may have altered it prior to publication to ensure that it meets our editorial standards.

Did Biden Accidentally Post Footage of Classified Documents Online? Just-Discovered Images Ignite Speculation

$

If President Joe Biden can be this careless with classified documents, what else escapes his notice?

It’s a frightening but crucial question sparked by his recently discovered habit of leaving America’s security secrets (or whatever else) in unsecured places.

On Wednesday, a second trove of classified documents was found, this time in the garage of his Wilmington, Delaware, home — and what’s worse, they may have inadvertently appeared in one of his 2020 campaign videos.

“There’s been a lot of talk about my vetting process lately. Here’s an inside look,” read the cutesy caption on Biden’s August 2020 tweet featuring a video of his 1967 Corvette Stingray.

Near the end of the short clip, Biden backed his roadster into a garage — and right past a cardboard box overflowing with papers and other assorted things.

There’s no mention of whether this was filmed at the Wilmington home where the long-forgotten classified documents were found this week, but the president provided a pretty good indication of his own.

When Biden spoke with reporters Thursday, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked him a pointed question.

“Classified materials next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?” Doocy said.

Biden began with promises to speak more about it before saying, “By the way, my Corvette is in a locked garage, OK?”

“So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street,” the president added.

“So it was in a locked garage?” Doocy pushed him further.

“Yes, as well as my Corvette,” Biden said.

“But as I said earlier this week, people know I take classified documents and classified material seriously,” the president claimed.

Oh, OK.

Conservative commentator Jack Posobiec posted a still of the moment from Biden’s original video where the box shoved into the back of a garage is visible.

Of course, this box of flotsam and jetsam could be something as ordinary as his son Hunter Biden’s macaroni art or old campaign materials.

Should the FBI search all of Biden’s residences?

But the fact remains that Biden has already shown himself to be careless with classified information, first at an office he used after his time as vice president, and now at his home.

If he also broadcast footage of the documents — admittedly at a distance and angle that makes it impossible to read any of it — he’s wholly unfit for office.

Biden is untrustworthy and careless at the very least — so what else is he not seeing that’s right under his nose?

It’s a terrifying thought about the man who holds the nuclear launch codes.

Democrat Debuts Southern Accent After Launching Campaign, Then Video Exposes His Real Voice

Democratic Senate candidate Lucas Kunce of Missouri was roasted for using a “new Southern accent” to pander to voters in a video contrasting his normal talking style with the homespun drawl he used when campaigning.

Kunce — who’s running to unseat Republican Sen. Josh Hawley — was lampooned by Philip Letsou, the deputy communications director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

“Experts agree: @LucasKunceMO has a new Southern accent for his campaign,” Letsou tweeted on Thursday. “Even a top linguistics professor — who literally wrote the book on US dialects — said Kunce is trying out a new accent.”

The video spotlighted the differences between the drawl the Democrat used when pandering for votes and his normal parlance, which is a standard American accent.

In an unintentional self-own, one of the taglines Kunce used in the video was, “Missourians don’t tolerate cowards and frauds.”

Bless his heart.

Linguistics expert Charles Boberg, a professor at McGill University and author of the “Atlas of North American English,” examined audio clips of Kunce speaking.

“I do detect some variation between more- and less-Southern-sounding pronunciation,” Boberg told The Washington Free Beacon on Thursday. “It’s possible that the speaker sounds more Southern in general with certain audiences or in certain contexts than others.”

Boberg said it’s unlikely that Kunce’s intermittent drawl occurred naturally from the region where he grew up, which was Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri.

The professor said it’s common for people to change their talking style “in response to the needs of a particular situation.”

“Lots of middle-class African-Americans, for instance, speak both ‘standard’-sounding and African-American-sounding English and can switch and shift between these accents in response to the needs of a particular situation,” Boberg told the Free Beacon.

A furious Kunce clapped back on Twitter, accusing Hawley of trying to distract from real issues by focusing on his sham accent.

While the Democrat insisted the media attention on his phony drawl doesn’t faze him, his angry tweetstorm suggested otherwise.

To quote playwright William Shakespeare, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

Interestingly, he did not deny that he was using a phony accent, claiming only that he was being attacked for “being a man from Central Missouri… who sounds like a man from Central Missouri.”

Kunce joins a long list of Democrats who have adopted phony accents when pandering for votes.

Two-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been lampooned for resorting to “ebonics” when speaking to black voters.

The most memorable example was her “I don’t feel no ways tired” remarks during a 2007 campaign speech in Alabama.

This is a lame ploy Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York also has embraced when speaking to a black audience.

Similarly, former President Barack Obama appeared to impersonate a black preacher in the Deep South while campaigning for Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia in December.

The issue isn’t whether Ocasio-Cortez or Lucas Kunce has an authentic accent; it’s the condescending phoniness in their approach to voters that’s troubling.

What most Americans care about is feeding their families, educating their children, being safe in their communities and enjoying their lives in peace.

The fact that many Democrats focus on superficial trivialities and not on things that matter to voters tells you all you need to know about their warped priorities.

Trump Rolls Out New Shirt with 3 Letters CNN Will Hate After He Dominated Town Hall

Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign for the White House declared victory after his powerful performance Wednesday night during a CNN town hall.

“Democrats were hoping CNN would trap President Trump and destroy his presidential campaign on live TV during last night’s town hall. But President Trump TOOK COMMAND of the CNN town hall and spoke directly to the VOTERS who responded with cheers, applause, and even laughs,” the GOP front-runner’s campaign wrote in an email to supporters.

“His CNN town hall was so masterful that many are now saying CNN should be renamed TNN – the Trump News Network,” the email proclaimed.

It then encouraged people to order a T-shirt that reads, “This is TNN.”

Of course, the old adage applies, “Where you stand depends upon where you sit.”

Many on the left were aghast that CNN would even host Trump. That included New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who wrote the network “should be ashamed of themselves.”

The intent of Trump and his team was no doubt to get him before some new faces in his bid to return to the White House.

The former president said in a video posted on Truth Social ahead of the town hall that he agreed to do the event on CNN because the network “is rightfully desperate to get those Trump ratings back.”

“They made me a deal I couldn’t refuse. Could be the beginning of a new and vibrant CNN with no more fake news or it could be a total disaster for all, including me,” he continued.

“Let’s see what happens.”

What happened is Trump had a good night.

CNN was no doubt hoping to goad him into lashing out, given some of the inflammatory questions moderator Kaitlan Collins asked.

Trump called her “a nasty person” when she kept badgering and interrupting him over a question she asked about the Department of Justice’s investigation involving his handling of documents.

“Are you ready? Can I talk?” he asked Collins. “Do you mind? Do you mind?”

“I would like for you to answer the question. That’s why I asked it,” she snidely responded, to which Trump said, “You’re a nasty person, I tell you.”

But the former president mostly was the happy warrior during the evening.

Collins launched the town hall by asking Trump whether he accepts the 2020 election results as legitimate.

He reiterated his oft-stated view that he did not think they were.

“When you look at that result, and when you look at what happened during that election, unless you’re a very stupid person, you see what happened … That was a rigged election,” he said.

Some of Trump’s best moments of the evening came when he was able to talk policy, including the need to resecure the border and tackle inflation, especially high energy costs.

Both the border crisis and America’s high gas prices are directly attributable to policies Joe Biden implemented.

“We have enough problems right now. We have problems like we’ve never had in the history of our country,” Trump said, without allowing millions of people to pour into the country illegally.

The former president’s answer for high prices starts first with, “Drill, baby, drill.”

Do you think Trump did a good job at the town hall?

Biden all but shut down oil exploration on federal lands, which make up over a quarter of the country (and nearly half the West), and new offshore drilling for the first two years of his term.

The result is oil production is down over 500,000 barrels a day from its peak during the Trump administration.

He argued that under his economic policies overall, “this place was rockin’.”

The CNN town hall was a great night for Trump and reminiscent of his first GOP primary debate performance in the summer of 2015.

The Trump campaign was right to memorialize the event with a fun T-shirt.

New Biden Ad Campaign Brags: I Barely Managed to Do What's Expected of Every President

The debt ceiling issue was basically like a meteorite approaching Earth, fiscally speaking. If a deal to raise it wasn’t reached, the United States would default and the world economy would suffer potentially catastrophic consequences.

Past presidents, knowing they would have to deal with hostile Congresses, planned long and hard to avert such disasters. But not Joe Biden. He looked up into his macroeconomic telescope, saw the meteorite coming, and said nope, we’re not doing anything. We’re not negotiating with no meteorite, bub. I’ve dealt with Corn Pop and got arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela while he was in prison. Ol’ Uncle Joe’s one bad dude.

Now, this wasn’t technically the White House’s reasoning. The actual line — slightly more boring, but still just as ill-conceived — was that the Republican majority in the House was so thin that the Democrats could peel off a few GOP votes and pass a debt limit increase without concessions or spending cuts.

Well, shocker of shockers, that turned out to be wrong.

So, after a period of contemplating whether the 14th Amendment allowed the president to unilaterally raise the debt limit (spoiler alert: it didn’t), Biden and the Democrats were forced to concede to a deal that suspends the debt limit through January 2025 while cutting nondefense spending to close to 2022 levels and reclaims money the administration allocated to the Internal Revenue Service and COVID-19 relief programs, according to Fox News.

Both Republicans and Democrats hated the bill, signed Saturday– which some say is a sign of a good compromise. In this case, it was more the case of a hasty one, caused by the president’s lack of foresight to account for a contingency every president with a hostile Congress has ever had to face.

But to Biden’s campaign team, the president’s ability to barely manage to successfully handle negotiations that are expected of every White House occupant is an occasion for a victory lap.

“President Biden delivers again for the U.S. economy!” an upbeat narrator says in an ad released by the Democratic Party on Monday.

“When MAGA Republicans threatened to wreck the U.S. economy, President Biden took charge, secured a bipartisan agreement and prevented chaos, all while protecting Social Security, health care and other critical programs.”

Just in case you didn’t get the message: “President Biden delivers for us again!”

Ah, yes. The debt ceiling crisis wasn’t the fault of a White House that refused to negotiate with the other side until it realized that it, like every other White House in its position, needed to negotiate with the other side. Oh, no no no! It’s the MAGA Republicans. Quick, say it in a “Scooby-Doo” voice and it sounds really creepy: “MA~A~GA Re~e~pub~li~cannnnns!”

And this isn’t just a one-off ad hastily put together by some intern video editors at the Democratic National Committee and pushed into a corner of YouTube where no one but the Democratic faithful will ever see it.

“The Biden team and the Democratic National Committee are launching a six-figure ad campaign Monday touting the bipartisan agreement that the president reached with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last month to lift the debt ceiling in exchange for some spending restraints and restrictions on food aid eligibility,” Politico reported Monday evening.

“The spots, which were first shared with Politico, make the case that Biden managed to protect essential government programs as well as his own accomplishments in the face of far-right Republicans who wanted to strip them away during the high-stakes talks over the debt ceiling,” the report said. “And that he did it all while avoiding a devastating outcome that would have hampered the economy.”

Perhaps the best summation of why this is literally the worst horse for the Democrats to put their money behind comes not from a conservative pundit but from CBS News’ Margaret Brennan, host of “Face the Nation.”

Reporting on the deal, she described it thusly: “Let’s put this into perspective: This is the president taking a victory lap on being able to achieve a basic matter of governance.”

Every politically aware person who had seen a sample congressional poll between the middle of 2021 and the 2022 midterms knew that the Republicans were going to have control of the House — the body that controls the government’s purse strings, for those of you with only a Common Core civics education. That means for the majority of his presidency, Biden knew this was coming. And he barely got it done.

There’s your campaign slogan, folks: “Biden 2024: Barely Doing What He’s Supposed to Do.”

Just picture this mentality applied to other clips of the president in action.

Upbeat narrator: “President Biden delivers again! Just before he tripped over a sandbag put in his way by ultra-MAGA Republicans during his commencement at the U.S. Air Force Academy, the president was almost able to follow stage directions and correctly point out the genders of the people he almost correctly called ‘pilots’! President Biden delivers again!”

Upbeat narrator: “President Biden delivers again! He correctly called on a reporter whose name and question were printed on a cheat sheet at a White House media briefing, and correctly pronounced her first name right! He also didn’t make a mistake ultra-MAGA Republicans were trying to lure him into by attempting to pronounce her last name, ‘Subramanian,’ despite the fact it was phonetically spelled out for him on the cheat sheet. Instead, he called her ‘Courtney Los Angeles Times.’ President Biden delivers again!”

Upbeat narrator: “President Biden delivers again! He breathes air for the 29,418th straight day! Ultra-MAGA Republicans want to poison our air by rejecting the Green New Deal — and poison our seniors like President Joe Biden. Not that he’s that senior. Don’t get any ideas. He’s young and spry! And he’s still breathing air — for almost 30,000 days straight! President Biden delivers again!”

And when he stops breathing? “President Biden delivers again by voting three times in Chicago!”

Yes, that’s hyperbole, but it’s an achievement closer to what the Biden White House is actually bragging about than a real bipartisan triumph on the debt ceiling.

The president, with no Plan B if his don’t-negotiate-with-MAGAs Plan A failed, basically just got something — anything — done to avoid default.

If I were a Biden campaign adviser, I would recommend the Democrats hide this deal like Jimmy Hoffa’s remains and move on to literally any other issue that gets Democrats riled up.

But, no. We’re going with a six-figure ad spend on the “Biden 2024: Barely Doing What He’s Supposed to Do” angle, as per Politico.

Good luck with that. If this is what the White House decides it’s going to be boasting about, there are much bigger meteorites heading straight for his presidency.

Man Who Calls Himself 'Genderfluid' Has Meltdown After Seeing How Trump Used Him in Campaign Ad

A clout-chasing transgender activist shed crocodile tears after being featured for a nanosecond in an ad for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Social media “influencer” James Rose — who says he’s “genderfluid” — poured on the histrionics in a TikTok video last week while attacking Trump for rebuking the left’s fetishization of gender dysphoria.

“I saw it, and I kinda fell apart,” Rose whined on the Chinese-owned social media platform. “And I didn’t want to tell you that because I didn’t want to, like, look weak. And it’s like, ‘Oh my God, that’s so stupid, I cry on the internet all the time, why is today different?’

“Well, it is different, because it’s personal. And it’s also different because I feel fear for the safety of our community.”

He continued, “I felt shame about being public about my transition, you know, being bubbly and fun and loving life. And I thought, ‘Oh, maybe if I were just different, then maybe I wouldn’t have, like, failed my community in this way.”

Rose then pretentiously referred to himself in the third person, claiming he’s terrified about the upcoming election season.

“This presidential campaign is going to be — I’m just predicting it’s going to be horrible,” he whined. “Not only for James personally … but for trans people, and we are going to have to hold each other in community tighter than ever.”

“We are beautiful. We are wonderful. And we are part of the fabric of society that makes life worth living. … No matter how hard they attack us, I will love us twice as hard,” Rose said.

In Trump’s May 15 campaign ad, the 45th president excoriated the “global elitists who send your kids to war, who tell you a woman is a man and a man is a woman.”

The video spotlighted an “ALL GENDER BATHROOMS” sign accompanied by a brief clip of transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, best known for leading a disastrous promotion for Bud Light beer.

The clip showed Mulvaney filming a pro-transgender video message with Rose, who’s obscure compared with Mulvaney.

In true clout-chasing fashion, Rose’s May 28 post made Trump’s campaign ad all about himself, even though its main message is that Democrats’ toxic policies are destroying the nation.

In a subsequent video addressed to Trump on May 30, Rose thanked the former president for making him famous, saying — to his delight — he has been barraged with date requests from other men.

“I did want to personally thank you for the fact that my phone is blowing with all of these hot gay men,” he gushed.

“Like literally, this guy who blocked me on Grindr … was like, ‘Hey, like, you’re a hero to me … would love to see you when you get back.'”

Rose thanked Trump once again, saying if it hadn’t been for his campaign ad, “I might not be able to get my d*** wet when I go back to New York, so I do have to thank you.”

These vulgar comments tell you all you need to know about the left’s warped fetishization of transgender ideology.

Jake Tapper Melts Down, Demands Control Room End Live Video of What Trump Is Doing After Arraignment

Tuesday should have been a day of progressive triumph. Former President Donald Trump was arrested and arraigned on 37 trumped-up felonies in a federal courthouse in Miami.

However, a funny thing happened after the hearing. Rather than skulking away in shame, like a guilty reprobate, a confident, smiling Trump went out and mingled at Versailles, a popular Cuban restaurant. Trump was greeted by excited supporters with an early chorus of “Happy Birthday,” a day before his 77th on Wednesday. They prayed with him. Trump went on to treat everyone at the café to a meal.

Over at CNN, perhaps stunned to see Trump as the focus of such unwavering support, anchor Jake Tapper glumly issued an order to stop sharing the live video of the enthusiastic crowd.

“The folks in the control room, I don’t need to see any more of that,” Tapper said. “He’s trying to turn this, he’s trying to turn it into a spectacle and to a campaign ad. That’s enough of that. We’ve seen it already.”

Hilarious. Trump appeared unfazed despite persecution by partisan special counsel Jack Smith. Tapper was the one so disconcerted he openly demanded the live feed be censored in real time.

Many defendants, faced with charges from an unjust Justice Department that could put them in jail for the rest of their lives, would have laid low.

Trump could have hurried back home to shelter in place and wallow in self-pity. But that is not how Trump operates.

Trump’s post-indictment trip was a powerful statement. Going out among the people was a show of strength, the act of a man who knows he’s being persecuted for political reasons and expects to be exonerated.

That confidence in turn inspires Trump’s supporters to come out and back his re-election bid.

One thing Tapper was accurate in saying was Trump could use the occasion as a campaign talking point. Most Republicans think the case against Trump is pure politics.

A CBS News/YouGov poll conducted June 7 to June 10 — before and after the federal indictment was announced — showed 61 percent of likely GOP primary voters said any charges brought against Trump would not affect their view of him; 14 percent even said the indictments made them like Trump more.

Tapper’s pained demeanor caused a buzz on social media.

The conservative news site Citizen Free Press described it as a meltdown.

Another user noted, “CNN big mad.”

Daily Beast media reporter Justin Baragona noted that MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace made a similar comment to shut down the live video feed evidence of Trump’s popularity with the people.

“That’s the picture over your brilliant words, we don’t need to see that anymore, we know where he is,” Wallace said, as the camera cut away from Trump interacting with supporters.

These journalists might be having flashbacks to 2016, when CNN and other establishment media outlets gave Trump endless coverage. To the eternal surprise of those outlets, the more voters saw and heard Trump, the more his support grew. The establishment media doesn’t want to make that mistake again.

Seeing Trump swarmed by the enthusiastic public didn’t fit the predetermined narrative for the day, so these anchors tried to pretend it wasn’t happening.

The establishment media wants to tell you want to think, instead of allowing witnesses to unfiltered reality draw their own conclusions.

Biden Is Planning to Throw a Wet Blanket Over Thursday's NFL Season Opener: Report

Many NFL fans who sit down for Thursday’s season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions will be forced to watch a re-election campaign ad in which President Joe Biden is celebrated for all of his accomplishments on the economy, according to Axios.

The 30-second spot portrays “Bidenomics” as having positively affected the lives of the American people.

The campaign ad, which has been on YouTube for a week and had only been seen 700 times as of Tuesday morning, portrays the 80-year-old president as a man who is not a doddering, sleepy failure but actually a sharp advocate for people who are being crushed by his economic policies.

The ad claims Biden has fixed supply chains and is “fighting corporate greed.”

It also laughably asserts that he has made America “more energy independent.”

“Today, inflation is down to 3 percent,” the ad says, while the Biden re-election campaign brags the unemployment rate is at the “lowest in decades.”

“There is more to do, but President Biden is getting results that matter,” the video’s narrator concludes.

According to the report Tuesday, the ad will air during Thursday night’s game in select 2024 battleground states such as Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin.

The Chiefs-Lions game at Arrowhead Stadium will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

“The campaign is taking advantage of a unique window of opportunity to reach certain groups of general election voters that the Republican primary campaigns are mostly ignoring,” wrote Axios’ Sara Fischer, who spoke to sources close to the campaign about its plans to reach football fans.

Given that football and other sports are viewed as an escape by many Americans, my guess is this ad will be mocked in living rooms across the country.

Biden’s campaign will essentially ask people who recently filled up their gas tanks for a small fortune and spent more on snacks and beer for the game than they should have to believe that all is well.

The most laughable part of the ad is the claim that inflation is “down to three percent.”

That simply means that prices are still going up but at 3 percent year-over-year this past month as opposed to almost 9 percent last year.

That is not a win for the White House, which is sending people into poverty and has robbed a generation of young Americans of the opportunity to own a home.

The dishonesty of the ad is truly astounding.

No serious person believes that Biden has worked a solitary second to make the country energy-independent or that job gains during his term can be attributed to anything other than jobs that came back after COVID or are from people who have taken on more than one job to survive.

If Bidenomics were truly sustainable and working, the results would speak for themselves. However, the president’s policies are not working — unless their intent is to make life oppressive for the middle class.

His campaign is hoping sports fans might just be stupid enough to believe that paying more for less has improved their lives.

To borrow a term frequently used by the failure-in-chief, the ad is pure “malarkey.”
